Spre deosebire de anii precedenți când părea să fie destul de clar cine va smulge statueta pentru Cel mai bun film, anul acesta sunt cel puțin două filme cu șanse egale: Bohemian Rhapsody și Green Book au câștigat deja câte un Glob de Aur pentru Cel mai bună dramă, respectiv pentru Cea mai bună comedie sau musical, ceea ce face să fie o competiție destul de strânsă.
